Fur Ball 2014 #TuckerforKING

Hi, I’m Tucker O’Connor and this is me on the first day I joined my new family.

If we haven’t met, I’m a 2-year-old black lab-mix who became an O’Connor after I was rescued at 3 months old. I was surrendered to a shelter after being found abandoned on the side of River Road with my two sisters, scared and hesitant to trust even those who wanted to help me.

My dad saw me at an adoption event and couldn’t help but notice I was the only puppy who wasn’t barking, wagging his tail and jumping around in my kennel so he asked a volunteer, “Can I hold that little black puppy over there?”

Mom went ahead and started the adoption papers on the spot.

For months I was so shy that even when I wagged it my tail was always tucked in, which is why my family named me “Tucker.”

My signature color—which I’ll be wearing for Fur Ball —is
“Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry Red” and I’ve recently learned that I love to get dressed up and wear bow ties (just like someone else in the family…)

Most importantly, I’m so happy to get to share a fun night with my loving family, sweet friends and people like you who want to give rescue dogs like me a second chance! Come join me at Furballbr.org! ‪#‎kingtucker‬ ‪#‎caapets‬ ‪#‎rescueyourbestfriend‬‪#‎nonametagyet‬
