DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH & Prospect Management, Advancement Services

A graduate of Louisiana State University's Manship School of Mass Communication, Jessica O’Connor began her tenure at the LSU Foundation in January 2017 after being in the communications industry for over 12 years.

Since joining the LSU Foundation in 2017, Jessica served as the team's first Prospect Management Analyst, helping to build a culture of transparency and collaboration with in-unit colleagues to support donor-centric fundraising.

In her current role as  Director of the Research and Prospect Management team, Jessica provides strategic pipeline analysis for leadership and unit portfolios and supports over 20 hours a month in customized 1:1's with development staff. In addition to offering frontline support, Jessica bring experience in brand standards, concierge-model customer support, data aggregation and project management. 

Jessica began her career at LSU in 2015 with the LSU Office of Strategic Communications where she worked as an extension of communication teams across over a dozen schools, colleges and units. During her time at Strategic Communications, while higher education and state supported scholarship programs faced some of their largest budget cuts in recent years, she developed a strong appreciation range of impact LSU has across the state, regional and national community as well as a desire support private philanthropic initiatives at LSU.
